A year after Charlie’s (Robyn Lively) daughter Lilly (Kinsley Isla Dillon) disappears, another girl from Elrod goes missing.

Convinced there is a connection, Charlie draws suspicion from local law enforcement, as she seeks to expose the dark secret behind the girls’ disappearance, alongside reporter Amy (Shanola Hampton).

The film was recently released in North America under the original title Through The Glass Darkly.

This film starts believably, but slowly descends into a slightly over blown plot. The characterisations are variable, with the main character very well acted, but some of the supporting cast not as strong.

I was left feeling unconvinced about a lot of the plot throughout the film. Honestly, I would feel cheated renting this film and it might be best straight to TV. It promises a lot more than it delivers.

Disappearance at Lake Elrod is to be released for digital download on the 1st of November.
