My Dad always used to say to me that manners cost nothing.

While I feel that a lot of social conventions of civility can be overblown, outdated or restrictive.

Saying thank you always seems worthwhile and in a world where money does not always breed good attitudes or behaviour, I feel finding the energy to say thank you is more than just civility. It is a powerful way of building something positive into the day.
